WHAT IS THE ZONE

It’s a new diet, supported by important scientific studies, using food carefully to create a correct hormonal response and enable our body to work as well as possible. 

With the Zone, calories are not of primary importance; what is of more interest is hormone control induced by food. The Zone’s creator, the US researcher Barry Sears, has identified a food strategy to control the production of really important hormones regulating each body function: eicosanoids . Associating foods in the right way, the body achieves a balance and works better; fats are used as the main source of energy, meaning those who need it to get thinner do so just about automatically. The body works at its maximum physical and mental efficiency levels with important health advantages: all conditions which can be compromised by the wrong diet. 

Substantially, the Zone Diet teaches us to combine foods so that the various body hormone levels mean we feel good. This is not just a  “new diet”, but a new winning lifestyle. Food undoubtedly plays a fundamental role, but exercise and mental relaxation are also very important.
